The Mallacoota Slipway (capacity 16 tonne) is located adjacent to the main Wharf, with easy access to the facility. The work permitted to be performed here is limited to pressure cleaning of hulls, painting and certain repair/maintenance activities. The operations are overseen by a local contractor who slips and re-launches vessels based on prior bookings. Owners and/or contractors perform their own maintenance or repair works.
The Port Franklin Slipway (capacity 10 tonne with a maximum length of 10 metres) is operated by Gippsland Ports using a contractor to perform the lifting and standing operation. The work permitted to be performed here is limited to pressure cleaning of hulls, painting and certain repair/maintenance activities.
