Paynesville Boatyard Services
Paynesville Boatyard provides a comprehensive range of services including:
- Travel Lift of vessels to cradles up to 40 tonne
- Slipping of vessels up to 120 tonne
- Pressure cleaning of vessels
- Major and minor vessel overhauls
- All types of maintenance of wooden boats
- Fibreglass repair
- All types of painting
- Propeller shaft repairs
- Heavy and light metal fabrication and on-site welding
- Rebalancing and re-pitching of propellers

- Extensive range of chandlery items available for purchase for works on vessels located within yard.
All boat slipping, lifting and re-launching activities are supervised by qualified personnel. The boatyard can also load/unload vessels to/from road transport and arrange launching of the vessel at the site.
Facilities and equipment on site include:
- Travel Lift capable of lifting vessels up to 40 tonne, with a fitted 2 tonne jib crane available for stepping masts, engine lift outs etc.
- Slipway and winch rated to 120 tonne capable of slipping vessels up to 10.5m beam and 30m Overall Length, with light and heavy duty scaffolding available.
- Well equipped Shipwrights shop providing 570m2 of undercover workshop area.
- Heavy engineering shop providing 190m2 of undercover workshop area.
- Heavy duty deep water loading wharf.
- Multipurpose telehandler with 7m reach and 6 tonne lifting capacity.
- Up to 22 open air hard stand sites and cradles for out of water maintenance.
- Powerful 6,000psi hydroblaster and 18m x 9m washdown compound for efficient environmentally friendly hull cleaning.
- One 15m x 9m fully enclosed sandblasting compound to ensure abrasive blasting activities are managed effectively.
- One 15m x 8m fully enclosed state of the art atmospherically controlled spray painting booth that can house vessels up to 12m length overall.
- Up to six in water fit-out berths.
- EPA approved and 2008 environmental award winning waste water treatment plant.

Bullock Island Boatyard provides a range of services including:
- Travel Lift of vessels to fully serviced hardstand areas up to 100 tonne
- Pressure cleaning of vessels
- Major and minor vessel overhauls
- All types of maintenance of wooden boats
- Fibreglass repair
- All types of painting
- Propeller shaft repairs
- Heavy and light metal fabrication and on-site welding
- Rebalancing and repitching of propellers
- Vessel condition reports
- Limited range of chandlery items available for purchase for works on vessels located within yard.

Vessel Slipping Facilities
Gippsland Ports only provides a slipping service at the Port Welshpool and Mallacoota slipping facilities. Scaffolding is available at Port Welshpool for a fee. A pressure cleaning unit is not available at these sites. These sites are a basic service only, with no availability of boatyard labour other than for the actual slipping.
Port Franklin is managed under licence and no services or equipment is provided by Gippsland Ports.
